Coroners Report St Vincent de Paul Society - Tieman Lifts

Now digusting how and international organisation such as St Vincent de Paul Society hides incidents but they do and the following are only as a result of my persistence and computer skills to put a incident data base together for the state of Victoria. Again this was probably the issue that led to my leaving the organistion as it backed up my concerns about the previous coroners report.

It must be remembered that St Vincent de Paul hides it's incidents and I only had access to incidents that had led to medical treatment! Other incidents even though required by legislation were not recorded, which is a shame becuase I'm sure Tieman Lifts would need this information to help with risk assessments and control.

Points of interest are that since the death there were three more people crushed between the lift and trucks that needed hospital or medical treatment. There were also 7 reported cases of people falling from the back of these lifts needing medical treatment. Imagine the numbers of near misses that are not recorded!

I am totally disgusted that St Vincent de Paul claims it is a Christian organisation, although it could be pointed out that they are not run by Christians and the results are obvious.

This evidence though shows the negligence of St Vincent de Paul Society and also shows the failings of risk assessments undertaken by Tieman Lifts and their safety advisors.

It also shows that law enforcement is failing big time, even though they have legislation for reporting incidents it is obvious that there is no enforcement of these requirments.
