Australia has issued new travel advice for the Philippines, warning of further terrorist attacks after a series of bombings in the country.
Suspected al-Qaeda-linked militants on Tuesday detonated a bomb that killed six people and wounded 29 in the southern town of Makilala.
Another bomb exploded in Cotabato city on Wednesday but caused no injuries.
The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) reissued its travel advice for the country, saying the latest bombings showed further attacks were likely.
"These attacks underline the ongoing terrorist threat in the region," the travel advice says.
"Further attacks are likely. Possible targets include restaurants, shopping malls including mega malls, hotels, hostels, guesthouses, bars or clubs in major population centres."
DFAT said it continued to receive credible reports that terrorists were planning attacks, including in Manila, Mindanao, the Sulu Archipelago and Cebu province.
