AN army parachutist had to be rescued from Telstra Stadium's roof and another was forced down outside the Olympic venue when wind gusts blew them off course as they were about to land on the field before the NRL Grand Final.
Four parachutists from the crack Red Berets were scheduled to land in the stadium carrying team and national flags as part of the pre-match entertainment.
Only two made it - one falling heavily and injuring his knee.
He was taken to the ground's medical centre for treatment.
